americans are the ones mixing up "its" and "it's", "their" and "they're" etc - and we're talking about supposedly educated people here.

somebody mixing up basic grammar in their native language after being exposed to it for 20, 30 years doesn't make me laugh, it is incomprehensible to me.

on the other hand, correcting other peoples' english skills when they're clearly no native speakers is kind of pathetic, but you can post in some "european" languages here and we'll correct *you* - we won't even laugh, promised!
