but look up the roster, and you easily see that the squads are at least 70 % non-britain, and probably quite some british players are only reserve.

I can understand people who want to see good soccer games, who are interested in seeing high quality games (5 % max), but I can't understand the fan mobs out there full of emotion for people that only come for the money ... probably they are just searching for a way to socialise, but somehow the reasons behind it are still wrong ... that's somehow why I only like watching national championchips ... it is somehow more spiritual than these leage business models

QL TDM is hardly the esport game of the year though, has there even been any lan TDM tournament? I think any TDM team is just a novelty to some extent, at least thus far.

I can't really remember when it was the last time, a sponsor payed a LAN trip, or HW and good stuff for a q3 TDM team, even if the TDM scene is pretty big in QL, big events not even host a 2v2 tournament... The only one who benefits from the "sponsoring" is Jibo, may be Krysa will, but for the TDM'ers it's just another tag behind their name : (. Actually doz3r; they are quite right. We in excello play TDM because it is fun, but the core of the team is centered around duel - which is why we are apart of a serious multi-gaming team. No tournaments or sponsors for that matter would be interested in TDM - it brings nothing even though it might be quite enjoyable to play.

Dont you worry we'll be recruiting new squads in the future, but we're not in a rush, we want to make sure we get good squads, if you compare to what excello did.. excello recruit the pro cs team from Finland, was it astralis or something? But 1 week later they had to leave cuz they couldnt get lan support from excello.

And, I'm very proud of having my Quake TDM squad with me, since I know they are really good at what they do, and yes some of them has 1v1 potential, and those I'll support if asked to. Also, if you talk about squads and so on, check your CS squad mate in excello, I've never heard of them, who are they? What happend to like you say "excello serious multigaming orga"

So please, stop talking about lame things, since excello has also a really bad reputation, but you dont seem to know much about excello either or their history in the esport scene.

I'm trying to do the better for esport and I visit companies to make the word "esport" heard so they find a interest, what are you doing? Difference between excello and 4K is that our core is oriented for tdm only instead of duel(no time to waste, since we all have other priority). We play this sun ESL playoff, so u can show us how to play tdm with your "serious multi-gaming team" again (3rd effort?:).

4K had a lot of high quality teams in a lot of games. I remember they were completely dominating the scene in W3C(Grubby and co), they had really good British based players representing the UT / RTCW scene as well. I agree, the name/identity should be left to RIP imho.

Yes, that's why it's "easy" to get sponsors again and why they are using that name. Doubt manager #14 this year will make a difference.

4Kings should be paying what they owe, not add new teams.

kinda difficult to pay out what you owe when you are broke and have no teams sponsors might actually give money for...

It's only a tag, just like all other TDM teams out there. There won't be any major TDM tournaments and if we somehow would have those, how many teams could afford to send their players? 1? ;]

most TDM teams consist of adult players who have a regular source of income, our team has no sponsors but if there was a tdm tourney somewhere we would consider going (mainly for the drinking trip tho)
