its a pretty fun map to play, rail abuse aside.

Each player removes one map, and the upper seeded person picks his home map first , well then there are 5 maps left, what to do with the rest of the 5 maps?

dm6 is utter shit; even more so in 1v1.its not particularly action packed or tactical and people repeatedly complain about spawns. item times are fine. we need new maps, not some piece of shit that is played in:
Q3 1v1, TDM, CA
UT2004 TDM, CA, CTF
QL 1v1, TDM, CA, FFA

I don't understand whats wrong with ca2? I've been playing it the last few days and it's got a pretty good flow, on the other hand I'm struggling with t7, can't get around the map nicely.

Ca2 has some nice rooms but overall its just too big and its too easy to run in circles all day.

if you think you can run circles in it al day..... you don't know the map all that well :>
one thing is true though... there is at least 1 spot where you can hide... and the other has to take extra time to check.
But it's not as easy to hide as let's say... dm6? :> And it's not as easy to run away as let's say.... ztn ? :>

I never said I liked any of those maps either. Personally I would like to see a five map pool without ca2 where dm6 has gotten replaced by t9.

Then we just need one new map to replace ztn.

hahaha, I don't have any big expectations, but I'm sure I can get to some of the later rounds in the next few months.

I have honestly not played seriously in years, considering that, I am not playing too bad. I got a little bit nervous purely because I haven't played seriously in a long time, and my aim really suffered because of it, my rail was like 18% and 30%, meanwhile last night I hit 60% in two games on the same maps. (Not playing against a noob).

But yeah I work and stuff, but I'm going to try put in an hour or two a day.

well, next time innit 8) just afraid someone less worthy is going to win now, like spartie or w/e. :<

QLTV casted whole tourney in one row, so they get tired = excitement gone.

At the beginning I choose different games, because there were lot of games, but then they got some problems with me - again - so I did not bother to come back and do the rest of tournament.

Anyway, it was cool to follow that games at least, Krysa played really great game, but fazz was better. GGs

I would personally let whole 7 maps in maplist, you can always remove CA2 in first picking.

CA2 is large map, only one in maplist, it allows you to hide, when your opponent kill you and when you realize how to work with it, you can devastate your opponent there. I also like, that you can fire trough half of level to cover important item respawns.

I've been away from Q3 for 6 years, but back playing QL now. I used to really like T4, but looking the quakecon/gamescon games on that map really sucked imo. I'm quite surprised that T4 isn't map that's discussed if it should stay or go. Well if you ask me let it go and get something new.
ca2 is very mediocre map. Sure it's not too hard to make anything better.
dm6 is for good reasons a map that should go too. I still kinda like playing it, but it's not that good.

The other tournament maps atm are fine imo and have their own flow and are quite different to play. Adding another great map and were done right ?:)
