It's not often anything other than an FPS movie is posted on ESReality, however, MooN just released a very nicely edited movie that showcases some of the highlight moments by the best players of Starcraft that definitely deserves to be mentioned.

Some of the plays shown here are simply amazing to watch for fans of the game.

Just tested it, the stream works fine. It doesn't work if you have flash blocked though (such as with an aggressive ad-blocker). Hence for me it works in IE but not in firefox (due to having an ad-blocker with firefox).

You may want to consider reading the comments. The stream works fine (I tested it again just now), it is you blocking it with an ad-blocker.

I prefer downloading myself, the ingame.de worked at first, then it was 404, 20 minutes ago it worked yet now its 404 again. Seems like it's overloaded but works every now and then. Unfortunately I know of no other place to download it.

A small amendment. If one is destroyed only medium and small size units can fit through (such as marines, hydras and workers). If two are destroyed only small units can fit through (of which ghost is the only offensive unit).

what happened there was much expanded to the bottom right corner, bisu sent his army to go take it out but got trapped inside by much. by the time he shuttled lifted his army out, much had pretty much destroyed all of bisu's tech and the game was over.

I never understood why players embarass themselves with those little dances/rituals. I mean not one of them can do anything that looks remotely cool, they all come out lame and awkward.

I mean wtf is with the pseudo-f1 driver suits they wear? the booths they play inside, that look like they were scavenged from a 80's tv quiz show? the fans with gigantic pictures of the players?

it's a culture thing

which is why SC or any other comparable game (regardless of how good it is) will probably never succeed over here like it does there, for the foreseeable future

which is why I get annoyed when people talk about "pro gaming" mention SC/South Korea and think because it works there it can work here :<

It adds to the atmosphere, don't necessarily needs to look like future spacesuits, but still, some restrictions to clothing adds to the idea that its a sport rather than a game. I think this is what the directors intended as well. A mix of soldier uniforms and sport outfits.

The opponent walks in with a Dark Templar. Dark templars have permanent invisibility, however, mines will still trigger if they walk near them. So what he did was walk near some mines so the mines would follow him, walked into the tanks and by the time he reached the tanks, all mines blew up, killing the Dark Templar but more importantly it also blew up a shit load of tanks :)

The part that impressed me the most was the "Landing sequence interrupted".

As he cleverly built a pylon to deny the addon for tanks on the factory. So in order to make tanks he had to land it somewhere else and build it, however, the probe was under the factory pretty much the whole time so it couldn't land. By the time he finally manage to land it the wall-in was already breached due to no tank there to defend.

Perfectly executed and a joy to watch :)

There is a resolution hack (which is what is used in this video).

http://www.starcraftresolutionhack.de.vu/ is the official website for it. I've never tried it myself though so I cannot vouch for it in any way.

There is a second resolution hack which can be found here http://www.gamethreat.net/forums/user-downloa...4-0-a.html

They both work a bit differently so either might be worth to try it if you are into those kind of things. It's unlikely anyone will work at anything except single player/replays though.

Aye, it's a good idea to get some understanding of what the units does. Things like lurkers might be difficult to understand otherwise, check http://classic.battle.net/scc/protoss/units/ and just go through the three different races (protoss, zerg, terran).

I think this is a video that must be hard to understand for most... I mean i played Starcraft for years back when it was released, yet i had really troubles getting what was so nice for some of these clips. Some of them were ok to understand but damn... Its hard to showcase whats really going on in such a game i guess. Nice post though.
