Razer has released a new gaming mouse mat, according to Razorzone.com:

"With the Razer Sphex, Razer introduces the first gaming grade desktop skin. With a value proposition unmatched by other gaming mouse mats, the Razer Sphex delivers high tracking quality on the thinnest mousing surface ever. Additionally the multiuse adhesive of the Razer Sphex lets you attach and remove it on any surface, allowing you to take it with you wherever you go."

It is made with gamers in mind and costs 15$.

er... I assume this is a cloth pad. For me, the best thing about a cloth pad is the comfort it provides for my arm/wrist as I basically use most of it as a rest (QcK+ Heavy).

I wonder what kind of adhesive it uses. I've never needed adhesive on any of my mousepads before. They probably needed it on this because its so thin.

Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO. They are very good, but the bass is a bit loud for gaming. Makes sennheiser 280 hd pro sound like earplugs ;)

I suppose if you like just using the desk as your mousepad only you don't want to ruin the finish it's great. I don't know about you guys though, but half the reason why i like a mousepad is because it offers cushioning for my wrist/forearm as opposed to a sharp corner digging into me.

Hmm, looks like it's a smaller XTrac Hammer. Don't quite know why someone would pick this over even Razer's own Goliathus, which is the same price but bigger. More choice is a good thing though, I suppose.

btw people might be misconstruing this. i could be wrong but isn't this a replacement surface for your current pad rather than a 'stick to your desk' surface?

you could have a base for it so instead of replacing the entire pad, you can buy a cheaper thinner surface and glue it on.

though i still don't get why everyone isn't using a cloth pad.
