Left 4 Dead 24-hour until Saturday (23 comments)

Valve announced today that it will run a 24-hour free trial for its popular multiplayer shooter Left 4 Dead this Friday.

The trial will begin on Friday at 12:01 AM GMT (7:01 PM EST Thursday), and will include the recent Survival pack content, which introduces a new multiplayer game mode and two additional Versus campaigns.

Those who wish to give L4D and the Survival Pack a try may now pre-load everything needed to play with no obligation to purchase. A free Steam Account is needed.

Personally I hope to see some known ESR faces in L4D to fight against the zombie hordes, join the already existent ESReality Steam Group (41 members!) so we can play together.

UPDATE Valve extended the free friday 24-hour trial of Left 4 Dead (PC) through the night until Saturday at 5 pm GMT!

How so? TBH I find Survival to be the most fun you can have in L4D when you're not with good mates. More maps would be nice, but its Left 4 Fucking Dead, what do oyu expect?

It just wasn't enough to revive the interest. This stuff should have been in from the start. The problem is more the game itself than the survival pack, but the survival pack just didn't add enough to bring me back.

Well, along with the latest big update pack they released the SDK for L4D and there are already two cool promising projects working on new maps/campaigns.

I hate Mountains - Another good looking campaign.

l4d is really fun, i would recommend everyone to give it a try! especially co-op mode, that is really fun with friends :)

if it was only the lobby system that's fucked, it takes ages to get a good server/game going, otherwise it's not even a bad game, just so many bugs.
