We're proud to announce our first on-line Slovenian QuakeLive duel tournament. The tournament will be played in best of three with double elimination and the player limit will be 32. The tournament will start at Sunday, 11:00 CDT, 10 May 2009, check-ins will open at 17:00 CEST. More info about the tournament can be found here or in

#quake.si on QuakeNet.

Would have been quite a clever move to have such a prize if the tournament wasn't Slovenian only though :)

The reason I asked was due to the major news policy on ESReality.

As a general rule, if the news you have written about is of interest to a majority of the readers in the category you have chosen, then it should be major. One exception to this rule is the off topic category, OT news should not be major regardless.

Since I doubt most QL visitors on the site has an interest in a Slovenian only tournament, this shouldn't be major. However, since there hasn't been many QL tournaments with any kind of prize thus far, and people seem to enjoy the news I'll leave it as it is.

The greater the amount of high concept players that participate, the greater should the overall interest be.

Generally, if its a tournament directed to only one country and there isn't any fierce competition taking place, its not major news. Its just generally though, lots of factors can come into play, such if the news is slow otherwise.

c1, this tournament is not for yuka not even for me or anybody else, but it's for community. We want to make our scene in QL more alive, especailly in duels. I think we will have such tournaments every month / 2months for small prizes.
