Iceland link is usually called link- or linkoo or something on IRC, the Swedish link is often called linkery (and is the one with ops in #cpmpickup)

rep was always in the shadow of tox/fox in vq3 ic but in cpm its reps turn to be the limelight.

He is far from the only ex-vq3'er that dominates in cpm.
Just because the game is faster doesn't mean the basic aim/movement skills can't be transferred.
Pretty much every vq3er that has tried cpm got to the cpm top rather easily: zero4, czm, fox, reptile, link, massman, and so on.

And no, zero4/czm and myself in the same sentence isn't wrong at all!

i meant that rep is better the fox at cpm, its always been the other way around between those two in q3.

don't see how this has anything to do with fox, tox nor ic.. fox is a genius of anything quake, he just don't care enough.. so i'll be a man enough to say fox would probably become better than me if he gave a damn..

it's not like i play cpm 24/7 either.. i'm rather inactive and still manage pretty well.. so that says a lot more about cpm than it does about me.. the community in 2009 is nothing like the one in 2003.. but i still enjoy playing :P

honestly though, that was probably the most comfortable shadow imaginable.. even though i would say it mostly applies to celebrity-level.. gopher was a tdm-machine just as much as the rest of us.. but no doubt two amazing players..
