After 27 seasons of flag capturing fun, we may have heard the last buzzer and seen the last flag capture of the Barrysworld/Jolt Q3CTFL.

On June 18th 2008 OMAC Industries acquired Jolt Online Gaming. The Dublin based company plan to turn Jolt into the hub of their browser based games service. Sadly this will see the servers that were so vital to the long running success of the league re-allocated to other areas.

This wouldn't be the first time the league has been left without a home, as when Barrysworld finally closed down the league was left without a home too. However, with Bigfoot at the helm he was able to secure servers with Jolt but this time the league is to receive another blow as Head Admin, and League/Match Reviewer Bigfoot is moving on and abroad to take up new challenges.

This leaves the admin team to find a new home for the league as well as the time and resources to continue running the league.

this is really sad to hear
i've never played in the league, but if they've had a solid 27 seasons, this is a HUGE blow to the CTF scene there
best of luck fellas, i just hope the community comes in and stands up for it, keeps it going on

this is pretty much the last worth while q3ctf league? I don't know if CB does it's opencup anymore but i doubt it gets many applicants?

A cup structure is never as good as a league structure such as jolt though. Have fun with whatever you do in the future biffles

Thanks to all the admins and everyone who made this league(bw and jolt) so enjoyable for the serious(good) and the not so serious(crap) q3 players which it catered for very well.Probably it's best achievement in maintaining a place for every type of q3'er over the years and not shunning the little guys who just looked forward to their sunday bit of fun,if you call being humped at ctf every week fun.
I met some great characters through this league and played alot of the seasons and overall most weeks were run with good professionalism,they probably wondered how some weeks lol

All the best to the staff who've kept it running for so long. I loved BW back in the day. It really did cater for everyone, it was very professional, great coverage inc. reviews and demo's etc. A big loss to the Q3 CTF community.
