Doom 3 is a science fiction, survival horror, first-person shooter video game. Developed and published by
id Software, it was released on August 3, 2004. Doom 3, despite its name, is not a direct continuation of the original Doom series storyline. Doom 3 is a re-imagining of the first game in the series, and has a completely new game engine and modern graphics.
