I'm still looking forward to better spectating in dm games. You guys should check out cnc3. The shoutcasts are built right into the replays and you can let the caster control the camera.

Those RTS guys just need some video game music. Then they could make rap videos out of the replays.

Anyway, quake is definitely behind the times on spectator things; as cnc3 proves. It's so much nicer when you can just sit back and enjoy. In cnc3, you don't even need a third-party program like seismovision to open the replays. It's all built-in... like it should be in every 'pro-game'.

I kind of like watching these CTF games, even with q4's less-than state-of-the-art spectating technology.

I guess you're mentioning the "I need all the pk4 uploaded on the server where the game was played", cause I don't need no seismovision software to play q4's demos ; yeah that's annoying

(made me thought : can't wait to see q4's usual complaints done by ET community, 37 times bigger than q4's community)

what is a "video game music" ? (I guess you're not talking about guitar hero, and I bet quake's community invented frag's movies)
