AMD2 athlon 64 dual core 4200+ 2.21 ghz
1gb DDR2 Ram
GF7950 GT
Seagate 7200 RPM 320gb HDD

I suppose it could be worth getting 1gb more of ram later on though, this should be sufficient for the time being =)

Lets hope this machine doesnt break down now. It's a pain as it is installing everything again.
Btw, Zimmerman, I feel your pain, all my old mp3's are lost :((((

Leave Gothic 3 - I made the mistake of buying it .. based on that I loved Gothic 2

It sill runs stuttery, has bugs, AI glitches etc , despite 3 or is it 4? patches now ...

Very disappointing ...

it was funny on mine. i could have rescued it with a special program, then i had to restart, scandisk ran a quick auto check over it and EVERYTHING WAS FUCKING GONE
i tried several other programs after that, but they couldnt find any files anymore, only useless data crap. scandisk fucked it up seriously. 150gb of important data lost

i didnt try this one, but i tried 2 or 3 that would scan raw data for certain file formats (txt, mp3, avi, ...). scandisk made crap out of all files/data on that drive. no chance anymore

Amidst all teh leetz0r specs the thing I'm maybe the most excited about it the x-fi (fat ed)... First soundcard in years :D nForce3 onboard sound can kiiiiss myyy A!

Anyway yeah, a gig of RAM more luckily isn't very expensive. I heard brand doesn't really matter much anymore? "Back in the days" (which maybe wasn't that long ago but hey in the world of computers...) it was kinda picky to have something proven but nowadays I've heard both in stores and less dodgy people that it's not a big deal anymore.

The last hardware reviews I read said otherwise. On toms hardware for example it showed that the AMD chips for example did better use of DDR2 Rams than intel.
One has to remember though that the AMD chips nowadays are manifactured by intel as, so one has to wonder how much difference there is =).
