i agree with punee, forcing yourself to change something significant (which is what those resolutions are supposed to be) requires more than just a flip of the calendar. if you have to procrastinate til that flip because you see it as something daunting then that in itself is pretty weak. either accept what you're doing/are or change it if you don't want to, inbetween is just unproductive and stressful :>

This is a misleading explanation.

While exercising, the body never uses adipocytes for lipid catabolism, but "burns" the free fatty acids circulating in the bloodstream.

As a result, you can exercise as long (i.e. intensive) as you want, but you will not lose adipose tissue - that happens afterwards, if at all.

If you (indefinite) are concerned about body fat, a negative energy balance is the most important aspect.

Consequently, the time of day is irrelevant.

edit: and oh yeah! They did a huge amount of tests on bottled water and compared to our tap water. Guess what? Our tap water in sweden is waaaaaaay cleaner than any bottled water anywhere.

I don't see the beef people have with the tradition. It's as if it has somehow become too popular of a topic making the usual hype and small-talk surrounding it, coming from what the "beefer" generally sees as weakminded and weakwilled individuals, inseparable and inextractable from the reason and prospects of adhering to it.. I think it's rather cool; i'm trying to come up with some good ways of improving my way of living - all thoughts need cues anyways and I personally don't feel as if another reason for thinking about it would have left me any more merit..
