If he loves black people so much then why are there still over 2 million black men in prison in the United States? Why are there hardly any job opportunies in poor black communities? Why is it that a black minor is 48 times more likely than a white minor to get arrest ed when caught with drugs? Why is our nation spending so much more money on prisons lately instead of universities? Why is Mumia Abu-Jamal still on death row? Why did Tookie get executed when there were no witnesses to the 4 murders that he was convicted of? Why are there still innocent black panthers in jail? Why are there still states using the death penalty? Why is it that when I take a state exam it asks me what ethnic background I have? Do they want to know if I'm black early on so they have more time to figure out clever ways to oppress me? Who shot Biggie Smalls?
if you're seriously blaming Bush (and nobody else) for there being 2 million black people in prison, i'm not even going to bother responding to the rest of the BS.
i'll never, NEVER claim to understand what it's like to be a minority in this country, but defending people like the black panthers just makes every other claim and complaint you have pointless. they're every bit as racist as the KKK or Aryan Brotherhood, and every bit as worthless.
If you're going to misinterpret what I said, don't reply at all. The Black Panthers are a non-racist, non-violent party. I didn't blame Bush for anything, I blame you for making stupid comments..
lets back up...my first post was completely based around Bush and his relation to African Americans in gov't...then you respond by saying "if Bush loved blacks so much, then why...?"
and yet now you say i'm MISinterpreting you by saying you were blaming Bush for something? you said it, and one comment later, contradicting yourself. genius... pure genius.
to go along with this brilliance, you want to defend the Black Panther Party (who are btw, dead, dead, dead...the "new" bpp's are a media joke and nothing more) as being non-violent...this the same group that trained each other in military tactics and constantly hid with fully automatic weapons in preparation of overthrowing the US government because "people of color", as they said it themselves, were "being victimized by the White racist government of America." that's not a generalizing AT ALL is it?
perhaps you should think less about organizations that highlight the differences in our races and think more about ones that work to make them transparent, so these things don't have to come up anymore. =\ hey i know its far fetched in this day and age (which is unfortunate), but one day a while back, somebody had a dream...you never know what might happen.
I would tell people what it really means... but why spoil it. I guess someday i will reveal. :D its true meaning is definitely the last thing people would think of....
