Trigun in top 3?!?! YES the first 5 minutes of the episode had everything... The cool frightening name of Vash de stampede with the 60 bilion bounty on his head... he had a cool image but ... Making him a complete idiot ruined it to utter shit, multiple thumbs down.

Noir wasn't that great, watched 10 episodes and i was dying of boredom....

Did you actually bother to finish watching Trigun? Believe it or not it gets really serious about halfway, like Vandread (another kickass anime), the light hearted comedy is for you to understand the persona of vash the stampede and all the other characters, and then all the shit thats actually happened to him, and continues to happen to him. (Wolfwood >>>>)

Noir was very intense and serious, well directed... for a movie. Unfortuanately, having slow scenes do get tiresome after 26 episodes, but it was still very good (should of been around 19 eps me thinks)

Love Hina is possibly the best anime comedy, don't think i've seen another that makes me laugh like that, except excel saga. And not many "normal" animes can pull off keeping ones interest. (The hot chickz0rs help too)

Chobits was crap. (Lots of hope in the first ep, but then it was just like hand maid something-or-other.)

Cowboy bebop wasn't about what spike did or how they lived, the story was totally irrelevant to the underlying meaning of the anime. I'll leave that to you to figure out.

Berserk is possibly one of the greatest animes ever...if it was finished, as a rule I don't grade animes until I've completely watched it. The story line was brilliant, the action was brilliant...it's amazing that the japanese didn't like it and it was cancelled.

I agree with FMP, it was good and then it slowly got worse, the animation also got really bad towards the end, you can't blame it when the companies run out of money (Hellsing)

Green Green I've never heard of and Last Exile i haven't seen yet. I have Onegai Teacher but haven't watched it. And I'm afraid of the cobra one.... I heard of samurai deeper kyo, heard it was quite crap, but i'll get around to it some time.

Escaflowne I thought was quite good, design was interesting and the story kept me watching.

The kenshin OVA's contain the best anime ending of all time, end of story. The problem (it's not really a problem, rather I rate other types of anime above this type of thing) with kenshin is that it's a pretty normal story, nothing unexpected, just one big romantic fairy tale.

Now we get to nge. It's pretty simple the reason why I hate it. I can admit that gainax did a good job on it, the art and story was good, the underlying meanings, all very very good. So why don't I like it? It's fake, it's false, it's all lies. I used to be interested in fucked up people, now I realise that if they're fucked up they just have no clue what life is about, that is how this anime is. It also contains the worst character of all time in Shinji Ikari...does ANYone like him? I don't. None of the other characters are likable either, apart from that chicks boyfriend who gets killed (names fail me alot). Also an ultradepressive ending, it's good, but I don't have to like it if it's good.

Yes i finished watching trigun, it was alright but would of been better if he wasn't a geek that's my opinion. Sure the priest looked cool but there was no action in that anime for me.

Noir the movie might of been good, i don't know i haven't seen it but the anime was slow... if it feels too slow the director/author has failed.

I hate to poke you in the eye here about berserk.. it did finish in a way, it ends where it starts tho i'd love to see whatever happened to griffith, but... the rest is to be read in the manga sad but true. But, we don't know yet if and "ending" is coming or not, berserk the movie would be something nice to look forward to, as an alternative to a tv show... I don't really know what's cheaper to make... a movie or an anime, just looking from the makers point of view.

To answer some of your questions though,

When I mentioned noir being filmed like a movie, thats what I meant, there is no noir movie, there is only a series, what I meant was that they made the anime like it was a 2 hour movie, when in fact it is 8 and a half hours long.

Spike was not a pacifist, he just took life as it came, a "free spirit". I mentioned earliar that CB is my #1 anime.

About Berserk, I have the manga that follows the anime, the anime ends at around volume 11/12, and the first episode of berserk is about volume 19, berserk is no where near complete even in the manga, I believe that volume 24 just came out and it is still being written. Berserk was simply cancelled, which is why it's 25 eps and not a standard number like 26.

The Kenshin movie is really crap to be honest, it's just a combination of a couple of tv episodes and the animation isn't too great, the OVA's >>> movie. The only kenshin I didn't watch was episode 64 to 95, because I follow the more "purist" form of it, the manga ends after 63, or rather changes into something depressive, and 64 to 95 was made by the tv station to get good ratings. The first OVA were brilliant, but a totally different style to the tv series, but they still fit together pretty well showing the moods of the different era's, as for OVA2, it takes off after episode 63, and shows you "the end" of kenshin, best ending of all time imo. (And kenji >>>>>>>>>>>>>>)

The other animes I will get around to in time, things are alot different now from when I was in school and college, I don't have time to watch 500 animes right after another, and the other opinions of the animes are just your opinions, how can I tell you what to enjoy and what not to enjoy?

Now nge again... you miss understand, I hate Shinji AND asuka, and Ayanami, and EVERYone. They are "strong" characters of weak people. The lead creator of nge had just come out of a hefty depression so he decided to represent the weakest parts of human nature and the sort of things you think about when suffering depression in this anime. Having had depression myself, I come to realise that these "deep" things the anime involves itself in is nothing more than utter bullshit. Why do you think gainax followed up nge with light hearted anime like flcl and magic market street instead of another anime like nge? There is nothing more on the matter, it's all bullshit. The most similar anime i can say that tries to do the same thing is lain, and i found lain better, and I still don't like it.

About the nge characters, yes, shinji is meant to represent the weakest part of all humans, but humans should not just learn to live with it, to accept it, it should not be accepted but be overcome. I can understand why shinji whines, but tell me, would you like someone like that irl? That is a weak person, and I'd get as fucking far away from them as possible, knowing a couple of people JUST LIKE THAT. They fuck with you, they say they want your help, say how shit life is, and then they fuck you over. Asuka I can sympathise with, tough childhood, but she just hides all her problems and doesn't deal with them, ie. she fucks out. Another bad human quality. Ayanami is as fake as the doll she is.

The last 2 episodes and the movie re-tells exactly the same thing from a different view point, the 2 episodes is what is going on in shinji's head in the movie. All of mankind progress into a higher being, but the final choice is left to the 2 eva pilots, shinji and asuka, shinji decides to carry on living with his fears and being alone, and everyone dies except for them 2, and Genesis (from the bible) is recreated with them acting as Adam and Eve.
