Here's an honest review:

Pros:

Had a few nice rocket kills

Variety in game modes helped spice the video up somewhat.

Config was OK, look into custom textures/scripts for wolfcam though.

Cons:

Overly long intro.

Musical choice (but that's impossible to please everyone so w/e)

Alot of filler frags that shouldn't be in a frag movie. You could of cut this movie down to 5 minutes and kept your best frags in, leaving a much more "exciting" finished product.

Overused freecam. We don't need to see a replay of an air rocket in freecam almost everytime.

Lack of syncing to the soundtrack. I watched about 5 mins and noticed no frag/musical sync at all, and if there was it was accidental.

Well, there's nothing really like the Abyssus out atm, sensor yes but shell/weight not so much.

I got really used to its shape, it has no accel/prediction and it's cheap as hell, sub 30$ usd. They'd last about 6 months and I'd just grab another as I didn't want to relearn a new mouse.

After the 4th abyssus died though, I realized I've pissed away over 130$ usd in 2+ years on a mouse. That was when I snapped out of the razer fanboy club, did research on mice without accel/prediction and ended going with the Zowie-am.

Seeing as bst's mouse is still in development/testing and I need a replacement asap. Still going to give his mouse a try though (if it ever comes out to the public).

Was honestly going to go with the WMO, but the Zowie am has a very similar shell, with what some people say is a better sensor (lowest lod on the market atm) in the ADNS-3090.

That's roughly 6.50 in USD. Goodluck finding even a half way decent mouse for that price here.

If you don't mind waiting close to month in shipping time, you can grab an abyssus for 14 USD from hong kong (i've went this route twice now). IMO that is cheap as hell for a good performing mouse albeit absolutely trash in the build quality dept.

There's a whole lot of stuff that I didn't really like.

10 consecutive rocket vs MG kills on dm17 were kinda boring and far from impressive, overall frag quality isn't astounding either.
I like how you nailed rapha without him even knowing you kept shooting at him, definitely a breath taking moment. There's a few similar scenes where the opponent isn't even trying to shoot or challenge you. That could have been excused if the frags were mega-awesome though.

The intro.
Oh God the intro.
It's one of the longest intros I've ever seen and the song is heavily overused in fragmovies (right after let the bodies hit the floor, anything from linkin park and Requiem for a dream theme).
The second song was cringe worthy and almost made me close the thing down for good. It's one of the worst songs you could use. The style just doesn't appeal to quake.

BUT for a first time ever movie you did a great job and if you won't get upset like undertaker, there's a bright moviemaking future ahead of you.

I always encourage people to do more movies and making them as interesting to the public as possible. The amount of new fragmovies is a good indicator of how big or devoted a fanbase is.

The intro wasn't really what i had in my mind, and it is too long because all my edits of the music were bad, i should use just another music but meh.

I also used freecam in the frags because without that the vid looks way too rushed, but i get what u say theres alot more stuff than replay scenes so i should try something else.
I'd also like to use FX scripts next time, i didn't in this cuz i couldn't found some i really like.

About the "one of the best" thing i put that for fun more than a fact lol, i also was referring about USA scene only but w/e.

I know i have a long way to go in movie making, hope the 2nd one would be much better.

I'm sorry but a lot of frags were very ordinary. It just gets boring. I didn't make it to the end. Also, the intro was definitely too long. Oh, there's also way too many frags that were repeated with a different angle. You can show it only once in freecam and ignore your POV too. But good effort, I'm sure the next one will be much better!

It might be true that she is the best female NA player now, but still not good. I remember kaycie, if it even is a girl. Missy was probably the female pinnacle of Quake, and seeing her play was like watching average duelers in Quake Live.

Never seen her duel but she's solid as hell in CTF. Could compete well in pickups etc (not saying much but w/e).

To be fair, it's probably hard to get comfortable gaming in the kitchen.

I very much enjoyed the ctf captures part of the movie. Shows very nice movement most people would like to be able to do.

Rocket frags and dm17 frags have a feel of you bashing some random that is only starting to play QL.

I like the fact that you showed more than one mode of play in the movie showing that you enjoy more than just same things every game you play.

Config you are using is okay with, as is the lack of scripting because you didn't make it more than it is. Frag and caps.

Keep up with the games and maybe throw in something more serious than dm17, and random rockets.

Overall I'd say it's a good work based on the time and effort put into this, and I like it.

Seeing most frags from first/third person view was annoying as hell. The movie could easily have been scaled down to 5 minutes, not to mention the long, unnecessary intro.

My advice: Learn WolfcamQL. Learn Sony Vegas. Watch higher rated frag movies on ESR and note editing techniques, camera angles, introductions, music choices. Learn to both appeal to the audience and yourself. Then you may get to an 8 if people are feeling kind.

over 600hours of work and you use the most shittest crosshair in the game; good efforts though.
