Hey ESR, long time lurker/reader, first time poster.
Strange issue i can't seem to figure out:
I have:
IME 3.0 (new version)
Razer Deathadder 3.5G
WMO 1.1a
Logitech MX518 (new version with bigger feet/1800dpi)
SS xai
With the IME 3.0 and 1.2 sensitivity in CoD4 I turn exactly 270 from 1 side of my QCK heavy to the other.
With my DA @ 450 dpi, 1.2 sens, i turn the same distance. Thus, my IME 3.0 must be 450 dpi right?
With my WMO 1.1a, 1.2 sens, i turn the same distance. WAIT WUT.
With my MX518 @ 400 dpi, 1.2 sens i turn less distance than the IME/DA.
Then with it @ 1800 dpi and 0.3 sens, i turn the same distance as DA/IME.
I have tried it in all the games I can (quake included) and still see the same results.
No drivers for any mouse. 6/11 windows.
Now i thought that the WMO 1.1a is 400 dpi, so turning same amount as IME 3.0 makes it 400. but turning the same amount as DA, that makes it 450, not 400. MX518 turning less at 400 dpi seems to confirm this. I was under the impression that the WMO has only ever been 400 dpi, and thats what I thought it was.
Anyone on ESR find anything similar? or is it worth reformatting to see if my OS has changed something? Or do i have a broken DA/WMO or what?
