No, it does not have the IE3.0 sensor.

The sensor has 500dpi and 6000fps, which makes the mouse skip at around 1m/s (with usb port overclocked, to fix the USB 1.1 buffer problem older MS mice have). That's not bad.

But that mouse has a problem with the lift-off distance in my opinion. I might have a broken model but I doubt it. The lift-off distance is pretty high, depending on the surface. The mouse will register movement when tilted, I found that uncomfortable to play with
Mouse with same sensor as IMO/WMO/IE3.0 is "Microsoft Optical Mouse Blue". It has this small red 'window' at the rear that shows LED glowing when operating. That mouse is/was also available in red (named 'Optical Mouse Red'), but apparently it is not sold anymore.
