If i had doom development in my hands, i would love to show and get hold of the best quakers in the world and pick theyr brains about doom multiplayer . Whatd they think would be needed for doom mp to become a competitive multiplayer game , and what they would accept for the sake of new blood\younger gamers. It dont have to be quake, it just have to be a competitive fast paced game .

To me that is an update with not that much value in it if that's all it is.. It's fine loadouts are gone, FFA is back to be fun, but the rest is whatever.

In FFA once they remove loadouts I'd actually prefer them to keep the item timers in. The players who tend to finish at the top of FFA's know about items whilst the other players on the server (50-75% usually) don't have a clue so it would improve it overall I think.

Check tier 1 or 2 newbies play. All they care about is fragging, timers or not. Item play comes with experience.

The only people who benefit from loadouts and timers are semi-advanced players, who are already familiar with the game mechanics but suck at it, which increases the skill gap even more.

The timers dont show anything about the item mechanics, nor its importance. Whats worse, they dont show numbers, and Quake is a game about numbers.
Having a simple, fun and rewarding item run tutorial is imperative if we want new players to ever learn anything without months of rape.

Yep. Since loading the minobot is a intervention in the .exe file. VAC detect hacks if they're loaded in the .exe (injection)

I love when im in a 3v3 with fair teams and some tier 1 scrub connects to the server and tries to just hop in and lopside the teams but the elo bot is like 'hold up you fucknut' and keeps putting him in spec till he rages and fucks off to lol or dota 2 or whatever fag game fags play.

So. Fact is, when there will be a VAC Anti Cheat system, the Minobot, which handles the elo shuffle, will never work again. Loadouts, i really doesnt care much about them at FFA. It even has one advantage, if you want to practice withone weapon, you can be sure to always have it, which is good.

What i hate is that in my region, its really hard to find a FFA active server, with or without loadouts. I find FFA much more fun than CA, youre not forced to play with random teammates, you die and dont have to wait before playing, and i find very fun the whole chaotic ffa pacing.

ping situation is horrible. pick up quad -> get 999 for 1min. some maps are worse than others
tip: disable/enable lan- connection, to get normal ping back faster.
