Imagine there is a favorite football field in the park where you use to play regularly. The field is almost a joke, the ground is bumpy and uneven, there are no borders or goal area, and you have to put your clothes down as goalposts to be able to play.
So basically it's much worse than what you could find at almost anywhere else... but you know that the skill and competition is very high, it's ppl there you know for years, and - most importantly - you are having fun there every day...

movement aint a good indicator. I can move like the wind in defrag or when i use a regular fov, but most the time I like to aimwhore rails especially on maps like cp9 and use a very very low fov which impacts movement. OR sometimes in CA i use that very low fov and get called a cheater like a mofo because my "movement" isn't something awesome. And if this dude plays like i do, based off sound, then a lot of quick flicks are in the general direction.

A friend of mine actually codes hacks for money (I've never got anything off him). He actually has Q2 hacks he's published for free online you can find through search engines that work on QL. That includes aimbots you can play around with.

You can have hacks, for specific weapons only. I.e. rail gun. So basically, you can have your rail gun on "auto shoot - targets only via crosshair" and the rest of your weapons on manual settings. Infact, afaik you can even have a triggerbot for rail (auto-shoot) and an aimbot set for other weapons such as LG and then the rest of your other weapons set to no hacks so it looks legit.

You can have it set to pretty much perfection, so no-one will ever tell.

All people do today is, play QL a lot i.e. 3/4+ hours and then just portray an image of them that they're practicing and becoming good when really all they're doing is using those hacks during that game time played.

My best advice for this situation is - start up a pro server with a password and have your friends join. Far from ideal, but there's many cheaters that keep coming back. It's sad, but not much is done about it. Why? No idea, but I hope 2gd's Reborn is at least good when it comes to cheaters management. Actually, just play with friends on a pass protected server... can't go wrong with that. If they cheat, beat them up!!!
