Classic Doom enthusiasts worldwide, rejoice! The long anticipated launch of Doom Central is just around the corner. To mark this occasion, we are thrilled to announce Take the Crown 2023, set to take place at QuakeCon 2023 in Dallas. Although the main event will be played live at Quakecon 2023, there are several events open to anyone in the lead-up to Quakecon. Altogether, over $250 in prizes will be given away to players who participate!

Doom Central's mission is to enhance the already vibrant Doom community. Serving as a comprehensive hub, it offers a multitude of resources, exclusive content, and an immersive community for players to connect, share their creations, and celebrate their love for the iconic classic Doom games. QuakeCon provides the perfect backdrop to demonstrate Doom Central's commitment to community projects, classic multiplayer, and beyond.

As the countdown to the official launch of Doom Central begins, Take the Crown promises to be a highlight of the festivities at QuakeCon 2023. Take the Crown will be a free-to-play deathmatch event played on Vesper Deathmatch. Vesper is a shiny new weapon mod which showcases a full arsenal of high-tech & demonic weaponry. In 2022, the Doom Central community came together to create an excellent deathmatch mapset specifically for Vesper.

Celebrating the upcoming release of DooM Eternal, KingDime and the Multiplayer Doom Federation are pleased to announce a DooM II duel tournament with a cash prize! Players will have four chances to qualify for the final bracket by placing in the Top 4 of one of the one-day qualifying tournaments.

Prize Pool: $1500 USD (50%/30%/15%/5%)

The tournament will be organized out of the Multiplayer Doom Federation Discord server – you will be able to find further information on signups, rules, and servers. It will also be a place for you to find players to practice with. Any player is allowed to sign up to a qualifier if they have yet to qualify for the final bracket. Any player who qualifies does not need to sign up for subsequent qualifiers.
