The Golden Potato #5 (20 comments)
Posted by phy1um @ 04:09 CST, 27 January 2018 - iMsg
The gears of the Command Centre have fired up in response to a new Quake Champions patch. TheSpudHunter has assembled another 8 fine players from the Australian region to compete in The Golden Potato 5. Come and experience the crisp new hitboxes, the raw speed of patched-Galena, and the power of BJ Blazkowicz. Celebrate a tournament where Anarki players will likely get put in the ground. Brand deals, fast cars and a live studio audience. Can this week's contenders handle the pressure? We look forward to seeing you tune in when titans clash to decide this week's Golden Potato champion.

Tune in from 16:30 CST, 27 January 2018. The tournament will run for around 3-4 hours, followed by an afterparty with TheSpudHunter where you can shoot the breeze in chat.

From his remote Command Center the magnificent SpudHunter will be running his second Quake Champions tournament this weekend. Last time we saw 8 of Australia's hot high level duelers specifically hand picked to give us an exciting show, and this week will be no different with a new patch to test the wits of our competitors. The stakes have never been higher for some of Australia's best up-and-coming players.

For most of the world, tune in from Friday the 15th of December from 17:30 CDT to catch the action. (For Australians this will be Saturday morning.)

Quake Live - North American Duel Cup #17 (31 comments)
Posted by phy1um @ 09:54 CDT, 14 April 2016 - iMsg
Scheduled: 16:30 CDT, 17 April 2016 to 20:30 CDT, 17 April 2016
Schedule: Passed

After the rescheduling and eventual cancellation of duel cup #16, I'm pleased to announce that the rest of the season will be going ahead as planned. There will be one final cup on the scheduled date and then the playoffs the following week. In the playoffs the players who have gathered the most points during the season will face off for larger cash prizes.

Due to the cancellation of NADC #16 nobody will be awarded points for that cup, so Rapha is free to continue his clean sweep.

As to why I'm making this thread, unfortunately Flair has decided to step down from running this competition for now. I've been in contact with him and everything is OK, however it isn't the best time for him to be doing these. If anyone wants to help run the cup on the day, especially North Americans, that would be fantastic.

Reflex Australia Duel Cup - April 24th (20 comments)
Posted by phy1um @ 03:40 CDT, 8 April 2016 - iMsg
Scheduled: 20:00 CDT, 23 April 2016 to 00:00 CDT, 24 April 2016
Schedule: Passed

UPDATE: The scheduled time is apparently WRONG, this cup won't be starting until 1pm Sydney time. This is GMT +10 for anyone needing to do conversions. Sorry for the inconvenience!

The Australian Reflex community is hosting another 1v1 competition on 20:00 CDT, 23 April 2016. Come along to see fan favourites such as AustraliaUltra and AustraliaProfanum duke it out in high skill games for unspecified cash prizes!

Our main goal for this tournament is to have at least 90% less server drama! This means that we are not going to have any WA servers, so sorry to Asian players who have participated in previous cups :(

Prizes TBA, current pool is $50 and growing!
