Tonight was the first 1v1 cup in ESL Benelux history.

The benelux guys showed us some skills. Even if some top players did not show up, there were still plenty of talentend players to pretend winning this first cup.

The final was bo1 since it was double elim.

Sc00T won hearts as he had to default because he was requested by his clan.

LLL*dem0n who's a nice guy despite the appearences said that he will give his prize to the unfortunate dutch man !

I don't know if I was still asleep, but this morning I discovered some russian servers on my Quake Live server browser.

This will please a lot of players that were just waiting for this to come to Quake Live.

The location is Moscow as far as I've seen. So if you are from Russia, try them out and let us know how you ping on it guys !

ESL QL 1v1 Benelux opening cup (2 comments)

This Sunday at 13:00 CDT will be the ESL QL 1v1 Benelux Opening Cup. This cup is only playable for people from the Benelux, and will be run on a DE brackets with bo1 matches. The map list will consist of qzdm6, qzdm13, ztntourney1, qztourney7 and qztourney9.

The cup was made for 16 players, but due to the high demand it will be extended to 32. There are still a few slots left, so feel free to sign-in right now if you want to! The two first players will win themselves an ESL premium account. But all 32 guys will write the first pages of ESL Benelux Quake Live history!

ESL opens ladders and cups for Benelux (8 comments)

Today is the day where a new section for Quake Live on ESL is born.

Quake Live players from

Belgium,

Netherlands, and

Luxemburg will be happy to discover their game freshly added to the Benelux section of the website. An IRC channel has also been created, we invite you to join #esl.blx.quakelive to keep in touch with us. So if you need support, information, or whatever, feel free to ask one of the admins.

ESL will provide everything for you to have fun fragging each others. You guys will be able to compete in the different ladders and cups brought to you by the ESL admin crew.

Next week will be an opening 1v1 cup in wich you can win premium accounts. Don't miss it !

We hope to see you soon subscribing to the ladders and cups, and that you will be as excited as we are to reinforce the benelux Quake Live community.

As a belgian Quake Live player, I could not resist to interview our best dueler. GaB.burnedd is only 14 years old, and he's on a good way to become one of the top european players.

The interview is in french, but I hope the subtitles will be understandable for everyone. Feel free to leave your comments if you see something I can improve for next interviews.
