How do you enjoy casting it?

How are the story lines in tournaments?

How casting it is different from Quakeish game?
Are you earning at least good money for your casting career now?
Are you interested in other games that are not FPS?

Haven't been following games in recent years at all.
So are there any fairly new games out there like: Rainbow Six Las Vegas 2 / Commandos 2 / Jagged Alliance 2 / Fallout Tactics? Tactical shooters/RTS silent killing/thinking before making move etc? Not like Battefield 3 where you are basically running from script to script.
Why the fuck companies aren't making those games any more.

I personally think the game fucking rocks and it's quite the thing what I expected from Blizzard. No revolutions, but a really good product with super fun game play and lovely gfx which I digg.
Playing Wizzard, only about for ~6h yesterday, having 16 lvl. I've already found legendary item for demon hunter :)
My only concern is that some people have already 60lvl, 48h after release. I remember that in D2 after ~70lvl you needed to sacrifice a lot of time to get 1-2 lvls, and here people are already finished with their characters in one day and AFAIK they were already done with them in the 2nd-3rd act on hell.

The news about WCG to focus on mobile phone gaming has hit the streets, but still no official announcement has been made from the South Korean organization. Although WCG announced their annual game voting a while back with CS 1.6 featured, it looks like they have changed their mind now.
A few days ago the rumor popped in various forum threads and pcgames.com.cn also brought a report on the matter. Today, cadred.org posted a leaked letter they have come in possession of. The letter has allegedly been sent out to all WCG partners, signed by WCG CEO Brad Lee.
The leaked letter reads:
"In recent years, the gaming and IT trends have been moving so fast. In the current status of gaming and IT industry, one of the most remarkable information to us was the mobile shipments have exceeded the PC shipments.
As wide spread mobile devices, mobile gamer would rapidly increase as well. In this situation, the major PC game publishers have been expanding their investment and business in the mobile game development & publishing.
This information was very cruel to us since we had been committed to the PC-Based gaming event for long time. We have witnessed that there have been many companies and organizations who went out of business because they didn't put effort to change. Therefore we concluded that we should create WCG's new identity.
Under this circumstance, we made a hard decision that we should bring the mobile, new key sector in the game industry, in our event concept. Hence, WCG decided to start the Mobile Game-Based Festival.
To create the Mobile Game-Based Festival, WCG is under the discussion with the sponsors and game publishers regarding new event structure and the countries for new festival. Therefore, there will be no longer present event module, such as Pan Championship, and PC-Based National Finals. And, the official game titles of WCG will consist of mobile games."
The official WCG titles will therefore in the future only feature mobile phone gaming at their events. Mobile phone gaming has already been featured at several of their events.

Bought new pc and installed windows 7.
Now I have a fucking weird problem with QL. I don't know how to even describe it properly :o
I'm playing on 800x600x120hz. When I'm at fullscreen mode the game scales down my image/picture by a bit (width), "cutting" off right edge of the picture so I can't see half of the frame with the scores and "s" from 125fps. I just see this bright line that indicates that he picture doesn't fit the frame or something :o
Now I can move the whole image/picture to the far left/right my via monitor buttons, the other part (left/right side) of the picture always "hides" or "disappears" being moved too much to the left or right. LOL.
I turned off all sort of scaling in nvidia panel. Weird thing is that this happens only on 120hz(in game) fullscreen - when I switch it to 100hz (in game) the image/picture fits perfectly to the monitor frame/resolution, the left/right side of the picture isn't cut. On 120hz there are 2 large black margins and the picture doesn't fit, thus it hides behind those margins wtf.
My Windows res is 85hz. PLEASE HELP COZ IM GONNA SMASH SOMETHING SOON.

Dear ESR experts, Diablo 3 is coming out soon and my current pc can barely handle QL with 125 FPS (it drops often). I want to have full gfx-d3 experience with every fucking detail working to the teeth, both in single and multiplayer mode, so obviously my pc needs update.
Since I'm few years behind in hardware specifications, I need your help.
My budget is about €400-500, low but I don't care about other new fancy games really, so it's only for D3. Plus I've heard the game isn't so demanding.
What I need is:

How about making team duel tournament draft just like the CTF and TDM ones or something quite similar to it? Pre-selected top-tier duel players as captains would pick their "team" consisting of 5 players overall.
We could use something like ESWC 2004 or Davis Cup system. To make it short its basically like this:
-whole match bo5
-each game bo3
-first team who wins 3 duel games (bo3), wins the whole match and advances further in the tournament.
-each player can be used only once
Moreover to mix things up, so that everyone could be happy about playing their best/beloved maps, I'd like to see a different map poll for each of the rounds (games). Example:
>> First round map pool: aero, toxicity, phrantic, hektik, t9
>> Second round map pool: ztn, t7, dm13, battleforged, dismemberment
>> Third round map pool: dm6, t4, ztn, aero, dm13
......etc.....
Pick, pick, drop, drop.
The idea is that every player in a team would have the opportunity to fit in a particular round where he feels the map pool suits him the best and thus we would actually see some non-popular maps played as well.

Watch out for a gay from Hungary that ruins duel in EU by aimboting, wallhacking and creating new accounts every few days, just when the old ones are being banned by id. He can't be banned for life since he has dynamic ip and he's just as stubborn as the one and only detleww in his prime days (dunno if he plays anymore). So if you're dueling, beware of a new nick with a day or two lifespan with hungarian flag to one's name. Sad thing is, this tumour plays Quake everyday for 4-5 hours.

What mousepad would you recommend (not very expensive) me for Logitech G500? I've been using SS Qck (the basic one 320 x 285 mm) for few years but it's already worn out so I'm thinking of something new. I never ever used anything besides cloth mouse pads and I don't know what would fit well with G500 besides SS I had (and it's really good, but I'm eager to try something new). Any suggestions? I use rather low sens (1.4 - 2) but with 2000 DPI and 500hz USB. Also using only wrist to play.

I came across an interview with two CS legends HeatoN and Potti who were dominating CS in early-mid 2000. Basically SK killed them as a team even though they were responsible for SK's huge international success. SK were nothing before they came, and apparently they [SK] are bunch of greedy cunts.

I'm officially noctis fan! He played so great in this series almost kicking rapha out of the tournament (knowing that rapha lost vs DaHanG later on). Noctis basically counters rapha so perfectly so many times and often catches him off guard (what, whaaat?) by going random rampage modes and I loved it :D He of course got unlucky in the third game (nothing out of ordinary to him I guess) but almost had it. Rapha playing as usual, very solid with a great comback on ztn where everything was decided in the last minute. And noctis didn't go emo mode, which is good and rare.
Noctis is the almost-rapha-killer! Great game.

Hey I have a weird problem and dunno how to describe it properly :}
I want to use setenemycolor (for exampe "g" which is light green) cvar to colourize my enemy model instead of cg_enemyUpper/Lower/HeadColor where you have to know the color code. For me it's simpler = better and I have all colours needed under letters. But whenever I exec my cfg, the cvar (setenemycolor) is getting blocked somehow by something and doesn't seem to work at all. Therefore I can only change my enemy color via cg_enemyUpper/Lower/HeadColor, which sucks for me.
However when I restore default settings and then exec for example fox's cfg, the cvar does work perfectly. Then, after doing that, when I exec my cfg, the cvar doesn't work again, so I guess that some cvar in my cfg is blocking "setenemycolors" from working properly but which one could it be?
Basically I just want that cvar to be working when execing my cfg:C

It fucking rocked! I had a fucking best time since god knows when. Been there mainly for Opeth and they've put the best live performance out there, overshadowing KoRn in almost everything. Mikael Akerfeldt is a genius, really. This guy is a fucking einstein of progressive music. Shame it lasted so short. They had to go cause KoRn was the main star (WTF?!) of the event.
KoRn put a great show, everyone went crazy but musical and vocal wise it was far behind Opeth imo. Was a bit disappointed that they played only for ~1,5h.
POS was great too, though I've never listened to them before. Riverside is Riverside - slow but they have some great moments. Katatonia's singer can't sing that well or it wasn't his day. Music was too loud compared to vocals.

So apparently this game is for free from today till 25 july. I like wild west and TPP shooters, so I might trying it. Has anyone played it? I mean it looks fun, but Battlefield: Heroes also looked good though it was a bullshit game only for people who sacrifice a lot of time into it (and if you paid, you automatically were better, what the fuck). And the netcode was horrible. Is the same (leveling, paying for better equipment etc.) or is it just shooter with various classes?
Finally I've got a decent pc and I want to play some new/semi-new games (single player). Haven't really touched almost anything since ~2003-2004 and I haven't followed games that much overall. So what games are worth playing?
My pc isn't high-end (P4 3.2, 2 GB RAM, GF GT220 1GB DDR3) so I'm not really interested in very new games, which requires dual cores etc., but some older ones.
I'm into mainly FPP/TPP, some RTS and RPG (h&s).
Already played CoD4 (loved SP), SC2, GoW, Company of Heroes and few others. Planning to play CoD5 now, well if it runs good.
I love world war II games. Are there anything like Commandos 2? :)
Would love to play Kane&Lynch (loved 'Heat' movie) but it doesn't run and there's no solution for it. Maybe something similar?

I've started to play some tdm and I was wondering how to set my team model to razor/white? I've been using it in Q3 and I'm quite used to it so I don't want to change it to anything else. I tried with:
cg_teamUpperColor "0xFFFFFFFF" (which is suppose to be white)
cg_teamLowerColor "0xFFFFFFFF"
cg_teamHeadColor "0xFFFFFFFF"
But nothing happens, my team model is still razor red/blue. Tried also cg_teamColor y, but also no results whatsoever.
I'm thinking that I might have something in my cfg that is messing up my team colors, but before checking that out - is there even a way to have a razor/white model as my team model??

Recently I've been messing with my cfg yet again and I wanted to try to play on a higher resolution than usual. I've been playing on 800x600 since few years, so yesterday I switched to 1024x768 just to try it and check how the game runs. My cfg is using LightMap, and I noticed that my Q3 looks quite weird in fullscreen - ceretainly not how it is suppose to look. However in window mode everything is ok. So WTF?

I've been messing up my cfg from time to time and I still don't know on what graphics should I play, and what graphics settings fits me the most, of course in Q3. I really enjoy changing/experimenting things in my cfg (especially graphics part), trying some new stuff and playing Q3 like it was a completely new game. Recently I've been playing on fox's cfg as it's really, really clear and neat. It looks great on hub, and not THAT great on other maps (lightmap being used), as the enemy model it's a bit "too dark" for me. Nonetheless I find his confing really cool.
However most of the time I played with these values:
-picmip 0
-vertexLight 1
-r_mapOverbrightbits 3
-r_overbrightbits 1
-gamma 1
-intensity 1
Only changing from time to time picmip from 5 to 0 alternately. So it basically looks like this:
-my settings: 1, 2
-fox's: 1 (in game it looks a lot better, had problems with gamma while taking the screenshot)
Anyway I'm still not really satisfied with my cfg, as I said I like changing up things... So I wonder how does your Q3 look like and what settings (cvars) do you use. In other words I would really like to see your Q3 graphics, so screenshots would be welcome!

I think everybody remembers the awesome source of any Quake information which was (is) The Quake History Timeline created by niceguy back in 2005. Unfortunately he has no time to update or improve it, but maybe someone of You guys have? Personally I would do it myself, but I also have no time, nor the necessary informations. It should be all on ESR, though I'm really bad at searching things. The list lacks some major informations from late 2006 till now (including Q3 events, for example CPL Italy/Nordic and various others). In other words last info is about Q4 WSVG Finals, which were held in December 2006.

I love the Heat movie, so I want to try Kane & Lynch as well as it's mainly based on that movie. It looks like it's really fun to play, even though the graphics aren't that good.
So I'm basically wondering if it will run on my low-end pc, on minimal details of course. I have p4 3.2, 1 GB of RAM, GeForce 6600 (yes, it's quite shit). Is there any chance that it will work without major problems?

Bands such like:
- Isis (mainly heavy instrumental with some vocals from time to time)

- Tool (something with such music would be nice)

Danny Carey (Tool) is considered to be one of the best and most creative drummers of our times. His skills are truly amazing and breath-taking. Some think he's overrated, some think he's underrated. Either way, he kicks ass. Here you have a snippet what he can really do: in studio + interview and parabola extended drum solo (must see, amazing). Say what you want, Danny is remarkable. Live = priceless.
The only other drummer I think that is as good as him is Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater.

Which rase and class should I pick? I'm 100% that I want to play horde, and 99% sure that my char is going to be some sort of magician/caster. To be honest I love Taurens, really. They look so amazing and I would love to play one of them, thus I was thinking of picking Tauren Shaman. However my friend, who plays a lot, told me that Shaman is good at everything, though only good, nothing more and not best at anything. Is that right? I was told that it's some kind of universal class. And if I do pick him, from those two talents: elemental and restoration - which one should I chose and why?
Basically I would like to have char that would be good at pvp as well as pve, but mostly pvp :p. So the other option is Troll/Orc Mage. What about him? I heard that he's good at pvp as well as pve, and his overall better than Shaman in terms of pvp. Another option is Tauren Druid, however it's hardly possible that I'll chose him.
Finally, is the race pick important? I mean are there any major differences between, let's say, Orc Mage and Troll Mage?
Any advices?
Please, do not speak WoW-ish, I don't understand words of this slang... yet ;)

Really nice, two WSVG games between Fatal1ty and LoSt-CaUzE. Monsoon is a must-see demo. Excellent map control from Johnatan who didn't allow Rafik to do much. GG!
WSVG London, day 2 game. A very nice match between two Americans, socrates_ and LoSt-CaUsE. Jason starts with a very impressive beginning, showing great map controll and giving Rafik a hard time as well. It really looks like, LoSt-CaUsE is going to be raped pretty badly, with strong, 10-0 lead by Socrates and his almost flawless control... to the point where Rafik wakes up and starts his magical come back. Enjoy.

This is an amazing performance of czm's robotic-aim skills at QuakeCon 2004. In the first round, in each group, players had to play an ffa game; Paul in his group had to face LeXeR and km[serm and few other rather uknown players on Q3DM7. He hit about ~63% rail, hardly ever missing a single shot and about 35% machinegun which is amazing as well; mid-air rockets are also here. Guess who was first? :)
First 3 minutes are warmup, then his insane home run begins. Hope you enjoy it!

Tomorrow will be a truly wonderful day, maybe one of the best in a while. But first, let's go to yesterday. Well, yesterday I've finished my sencond high school year and I'm so happy, because from now on, I have long, and desired vacations. Also yesterday I had the last and the hardest exam of this semester - "Polish local press in the 1989-2000. Typology and social funcitioning". Yeah, it sounds pretty stupid and indeed it is, as well as pretty difficult to learn. However, it went well. I've passed the exam.
So why I'm so happy about tomorrow's day? Well, because tomorrow I'm going to a concert, which I've been waiting for for a long time. About five years now, if I'm not mistaken. TOOL is the name, the best band of the whole wide world. I literally love those four guys; their music is so unique that I have no words for it. You just have to listen to it; drift with music on your bed, with eyes closed. Find the beauty in the dissonance.
Few hours ago, I've returned from Katowice, where I bought the ticket and where the concert is. And I find myself so excited I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. Cause Tomorrow will be a great day. No doubts. And I'm so glad with all this that I felt like I needed to share my joy with everyone who reads this.
